Built from the same super-tough, engineering-grade reinforced nylon as the full-size boards, Maxtrax Mini is perfectly suited to smaller vehicles or setups where storage space is at a premium. Despite its reduced size, it still provides the performance needed for serious off-road recovery.
Maxtrax Mini removes the stress from getting stuck by delivering instant traction. Its aggressive cleats bite into your tyre tread while gripping the terrain beneath, helping prevent wheel spin and stopping your vehicle from sinking further into sand, mud, or snow. This makes recoveries faster, safer, and far more controlled.
Measuring 640mm long, 330mm wide and 85mm tall, each set stacks neatly to just 85mm high, making it easy to pack alongside your camping, touring, or overlanding gear without taking up valuable space.
Flexible yet incredibly strong, the UV-stabilised reinforced nylon construction forms a stable base under your tyres, helping you regain momentum quickly and efficiently.
Weighing approximately 2kg per board, Maxtrax Mini is easy to handle in any situation. Its signature double-edged design allows for quick placement under tyres, while two built-in handles make carrying and positioning simple. Each end also features an integrated shovel to help clear excess terrain and speed up recovery.
With exclusive keyhole mounting points, Maxtrax Mini can be securely stored and easily accessed when needed. Its also compatible with the Maxtrax Fixing & Linking Kit, allowing you to connect multiple boards together for increased recovery length.
The Maxtrax Story
Maxtrax was created by Australian adventurer and 4WD author Brad McCarthy in 2001 after becoming stuck in soft sand during an outback trip. Determined to find a better solution, he spent months developing a lightweight, reliable recovery device designed to perform in the harshest off-road conditions.
